Ice Cream In A Bag!

2 TBL sugar
1 cup half & half (or light cream)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup coarse salt or table salt(I used canning salt)
ice
gallon-sized Ziploc bag

Yesterday I turned 23 years old! Ahhhhhhhhh I feel so old! I had such a great Birthday! My husband was so cute to get up early & to make me a yummy breakfast! Thinking Trevor would be off to work after breakfast... BUT then surprised me by taking the whole day off work, to take me birthday shopping & out to lunch. So After a full day of shopping we went to eat lunch at L&L Hawaiian BBQ Grill:) The food was so good! But we ate so fast & got so full that we changed our plans and went home to take a nap, that was very much needed:)After our nap we weren't feeling very hungry but Trevor still wanted to take me out for a birthday dinner. We got our food and realized we were not going to eat any of it:) we were still so full for lunch. Ha Ha! After dinner Trevor had planned to go pick me up an ice cream cake... since ice cream is my favorite! I told Trevor I was so full I don't think I could even look at ice cream... & Trevor even agreed! Trevor still wanted to sing to me so he went & got me a bunch of my favorite candy & sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY:) Here are a few pictures of us on my birthday.

Hair Cutting Class

My boss at Artisan Salon put together an amazing hair cutting technique class for all the stylist at the salon. The class was taught by a girl named Jenny Rey from the Prive Salon in Miami. Jenny Rey has worked with clients such as Mickey Rourke, Chris Hournbrook from Poison The Well, and Darren Brass from Miami Ink. She's worked at New York Fashion Week for Heatherette, Mercedes Swimsuit Week, Miami Fashion Week, Ocean Drive Magazine, Map Magazine, and more! The class was so well taught, & I learned so much from it. After the class we all went out to eat at Rodizio Grill.

Turkey Bowl
The game was a little intense this year but so much fun! We had a lot more players this year including the Young's, Brooks, & my brother Chase all came to play! & It was a very close game but ended in a tie!

Then off to our first Thanksgiving dinner at my Nana's house...

Then off we went to the Petersen's Thanksgiving & then to the Rackham's for some yummy pie & to see there cute new house.
I'm SO very thankful for so many things this year the list could go on & on so i will just name a few...

I'm Thankful for... My husband who has been so loving everyday & has always been by my side through all our trials, for my family & being married into a family who has welcomed me in with open arms, my brother for all the trials we have been through together that has made us closer, for having a healthy husband and families, as well as healthy babies being born into our families, for having a roof over our heads, a car to drive, have two jobs even though working two jobs has worn me out:) I'm lucky to have two jobs that I love, my dogs, my friends, prayer, forgiveness, heavenly father, food to eat, & our clothes to keep us warm. We had such a great Thanksgiving & hope everyone else did as well:)

I took work off for Trevor's Fall Break & WOW did it feel good to actually have a full weekend:)Friday- we serviced our car, took Lucy to the vet, & had a picnic at the park. Saturday- I wasn't having a very good day.. so my cute husband planned a whole day of things for us to do together we went shopping, on a walk,craved pumpkins, went to a nice Mexican restaurant, & finished the day off with a great movie... Just Go With It:) Sunday We went to my dads house for a family dinner.I'm so grateful to have such a great husband who takes such great care of me & I'm so grateful for my family & friends.

BYU Vs UTAH

So if you all know Trevor you would know he LOVES the Utah Utes football team. & if I had to choose I would go for BYU... but to be honest it’s not something I care too much about. & if you really know Trevor than you would know he is so fun to play pranks on. & if you know me I love to pull pranks on my family & friends.

Anyways... for game day BYU Vs.Utah Trevor & I were planning on going to Trevor’s friend’s house for a game party after I got off work. Well I came up with this little prank :) I would get off work & I would go to pick up Trevor to leave to his friends party. So before I would go to pick up Trevor… I wanted to write all over our car windows with a window marker … GO BYU, # 1 FAN, & ETC. Then buy a BYU shirt because Trevor always says "you’re not a true fan without a shirt."

So Then when I had to pick up Trevor to leave, he would have no choice but to get in the car, and drive all the way to salt lake with BYU crap written all over the windows. I start getting this all planned out in my head & didn’t think I really would do it… BUT I did & it was so funny until… we had to drive all the way home, at the end of the night after BYU lost:)we both got laughs out of it.

Trevor will be running a 10k in Maine, so Lucy & I will go & run with him every now & then at the Pleasant Grove High track. I'm not much of a long distance runner but I do love the short distance sprints. So before Trevor runs his miles he will usually time me in my short distance sprints. Trevor hasn't ran much the last few years, so running this 10k has been a lot of training for Trevor.

So to finish up Trevor's Bday I wanted to take him out to dinner before we did the Ifly! So Trevor & I went to Ogden & ate at the Spaghetti Factory! It was so yummy! After we ate Trevor & I headed off to do some indoor skydiving! IT WAS SO FUN! Doing the indoor skydiving really made Trevor & I want to do the real thing! YES like jump out of a plane & skydive:) We got a dvd of our Iflying so I will post it up later.

Then we had my little sister Zanna's family birthday party! Trevor & I got her a life size JB! & my brother got her a JB CD & movie! So she got JB fever for her birthday! I always forget that I have a camera:) So I only took a few pictures...

Next birthday that is up is my cute little nephew Riley! I gave him our present a few days early, we got him two Betta fish with a fish tank!

Trevor is now 24 years old! Wow time sure does fly! I started dating Trevor when he had just turned 20 & I was only 18:)

So for breakfast I made my first homemade pancakes! I was so proud & Trevor loved them!

Recenty I came across two recent pictures of my mom on facebook. For all of you that know me, you know that I have mom that lives in Sydney, Australia. It's crazy to think I haven't seen my mom since I was in the first grade. The only contact I have now is through my half sisters facebook who lives with my mom in Aussie, her name is Taylor, & she is 13 years old. My older brother & I are getting older & the older we get the more we wish we had a relationship with our mom, but Trevor has made it very clear to me:) that we will save up our money & one day we'll go & visit my mom in Aussie with my brother and his family.

Trevor & I went to the Provo Riverwoods & hungout at the new Beach Resort they have there, where there is indoor Surfing, Laser Tag, Ropes Course, Bowling, & Miniature Croquet. The Provo Riverwoods did a remodel, so they have some new cute stores & really good food places. We ate at a place called Marleys, so good! They have really good sliders & french fries... YUM!

I am such a dog lover, so yes I am blogging about my cute little puppy Lucy:)
She has such a personality, & keeps us so entertained. But there is one thing that I can't stand... she does NOT mind me. I can get mad at her all day & it wouldn't phase her, but if Trevor were to get mad at her she would mind in two seconds.. (Example) if Trevor & I are watching TV & Lucy is biting me & wont stop, all I have to do is say "Trevor" & she will stop & look right at Trevor.
So after Trevor leaves for work in the morning I get up and get ready, & as I am trying to get dressed I have Lucy at my feet biting them, or playing tug a war with my jeans or with my shoes as I try & put them on. Usually I will lock her out of my room until I'm done getting ready. But this morning after Trevor left & I was getting ready, Lucy started biting me & I didn't have time for it. I thought maybe I should just yell "TREVOR" & see if she will fall for it, so I did & Lucy stopped biting & looked at me like, he left you dummy... so I yelled his name again, then this time Lucy stops.. looks at me & walks to the bathroom, looks in the bathroom walks out, jumps on our bed, & then I realize she is looking for Trevor! Haha she is too funny:)

The salon I have been working at, has been such a great place for me to get my clientele up & going. I work with one of my friends from hair school, Kaylie & we both have been busy busy busy! One thing that has become really popular in the salon is feather extensions! We have all ages that come in to get feathers in there hair. Feather exensions are really cool & you treat them just as you would your own hair.

Trevor & I recently got a puppy! We named her Lucy, she is the cutest little thing. We adopted her from the pound at Pets Mart. Lucy is only 6 weeks old, so she is still just a baby & a lot of work. Oreo Balls!

1 pkg. of oreo's
1 block of plain cream cheese
White chocolate (melted)

Crunch up the 1 whole pkg. of oreo's, until oreo's are crumbs. Then add in 1 whole pkg. of cream cheese, use your hands to mix in well. When mixed in well get one full spoon of oreo mix and roll into a ball & place on cookie sheet, put in fridge until oreo balls are hard & cool (only takes a few minute's) Then with the melted white chocolate dip in oreo ball half way into chocolate. When all oreo balls are done they are ready to eat! keep refrigerated.

I am Finished with my State Boards! I can finally do what I have been wanting to do & that is find a job in a salon! I have never been so happy to find a 2nd job! I will be working part-time at PMI & part-time in a hair salon, until I start getting a lot of clients doing hair then I will move to full-time! So happy my boards are over!

I never thought I would be a good cook! So lucky me I have the two best cook books to help me out with that! I got one of the cook books from one of my friend at my bridal shower, & I have loved it! So I went & bought the second one that is bigger & even better!
I work late so when I cook dinner I need something easy, fast, good, & something that is going to fill my husband up :) I think every meal I have cooked has been out of these cook books!

HONEYMOON!!

Trev & I got the most amazing opportunity for our Honeymoon & that was a Cruise to Mexico! It was so amazing! Trev & I had such a blast! It was so relaxing, we slept a lot (we were both so worn out), we also laid out by the pool, went hot tubing, went mini golfing, ate, ate, & ate:), went to some late night shows, watched people sing some karaoke, went shopping, held a baby lion & much more:)
The night of our wedding, Trevor got us an amazing room in Park City. We Stayed the night then went an ate a really good breakfast, went shopping or course, went & rode the alpine coaster, ate at a really good Mexican restaurant, & then back to Orem we went, to pack up for our Cruise. I forgot my camera, so I don't have any pictures of us in Park City, but I will get some up of our Cruise.

HANGING OUT IN HEBER!

Trevor & I went to Heber this weekend & hungout with Holly & Todd! At their future apartment:) We had a great time with those two in Heber. We drove around & saw where everyone lived around there, went to Dairy Keen, went hot tubing, watched a movie, talked, & got a tour of this awesome house!

June 25th is the date! So excited! planning a wedding, finishing school, & work has been so stressful but well worth it! im excited to get married to Trevor:) We almost made it to the 3 year mark! wow! Its been a roller coster! & now were finally here! YAY!

WE ARE ENGAGED!

The night started out at Texas Road House! Then went on a carriage ride.. that was tons of fun! After the carriage ride, Trevor & I went to the Bountiful Temple to take a "PICTURE" haha! he told me he wanted to go & take a picture at the Temple.. Which I thought was really odd! So we got to the Temple & he told me to take the picture he had his arm around me and his hand on my shoulder holding the ring.. His plan was to hold the ring so I would see it in the picture. As I took I was aiming for us & the Temple. Ten pictures later he grab the camera from me & took the picture, then asked me what was in his hand! I freaked out! He got down on his knee & purposed! so cute:) haha! We are both really Excited about it! & will keep you all updated!

Trevor & I went ice skating & had so much fun! when we first got on the ice.. we both were holding on to the side wall, then we got better as time went by! We didn't even fall. It was really fun to get out & do something fun together!

CHRISTMAS PARTIES!

Trevor & I had such a good Christmas this year! We didn't spent it together. I did get to go to his families Christmas brunch. & Trevor Came to my pops Christmas party in Provo! Christmas flew by so fast! I didn't want to come back to Orem:) This year on Christmas my family & I went to my Nana's house & ate a tone of food! My aunt, uncle, & cousin who are moving to Australia were there as well so that was nice to spend Christmas with them! Trevor also go to see them for the 2ND time! Trevor spent Christmas at his grandma & grandpa Peterson's house, he said he ate tons of food & just hung out with his family! Over all it was much needed & we both had a good time!

PMI WORK CHRISTMAS PARTY!

Trevor & I went to our work Christmas party at the Grand America Hotel! It was really fun! They had really good food there.. all you could eat. They were also giving away really good raffle prizes. I won a gift card for a spa day for 125 dollars! They also had a hypnotist that came & hypnotize some people from my work.. It was so funny to watch!

P90X

Trevor Got P90X, so our first workout was today! If someone would of just seen our lazy butts.. It was so funny, I wish i could of video taped it. I think that was the first work out i have done with Trevor, where we were on the same level:) Our work out today was back, arms, & abbs! by the end of the arms work out we couldn't even do one push up.. Our arms felt like jello. On the abb part, thats where i thought i was done for:) Trevor couldn't do most of the abb workouts because of his long torso. it was a good time though.. & It feels good to work out again!

JAZZ GAME!

Trevor & I went to the Utah Jazz Basketball game against the Kings! We sat on row 17! It was a really great game.. The Jazz ended up loosing by ten points, but i was still fun! I love going to Jazz games!

HAIR UPDATE!

This ladies mom is one of my regulars, & her mom brought her in to get her hair done for her birthday. I weaved in blond & then a dark brown Shadow box! it turned out really well. She has never had brown in her hair before so she wanted to try it:) & she loved it! i love cutting & coloring! I'm getting good practice at school, so its working out really well!

So if your ever bored.. get a pack of hubba bubba chewing gum & fit as many pieces of gum in your mouth & have a blowing bubble gum contest.. me & Trevor did this the other night for about an hour.. i wasted him:) it was so fun!

ABOUT TREVOR!

Trevor never updates on OUR blog, so i will for him:) Trevor works at a marketing company call PMI.. Yes, that is where i work as well. He is a sales marketer.. & i am the secretary! Its a great job & we both like it alot. Trevor also just found a new townhouse to live in.. with the help of me:) Its really nice! He has 3 other roommates & they are really cool! Oh & if you know Trevor he is a Utes fan, but ah for some reason he is going to school at BYU:) ha ha kidding! well he is taking a math class & the class is through BYU, so give him crap if you see him! Football season started so on Trevor's free time.. he is glued to the TV!
